Academic Concurrent English
Academic Concurrent English is a flexible session-based course designed for students concurrently studying diploma or degree courses at university. The course supports students in academic contexts in the skill areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, Language, Research and Study skills and professional communication skills.
More specifically, it emphasises developing skills in critical and analytical thinking, tutorial participation, independent learning, writing, lecture listening and notetaking, article analysis, research procedures, oral presentations, expressing opinion, independent learning, active participation in academic environments and relevant professional skills such as CV presentation and interview skills.
The course consists of up to 300 hours language training and can be customised and delivered in 2 hour sessions to meet the needs of institutions.
