Who are our trainees?
Many companies with international connections have employees who relocate to Melbourne temporarily or permanently. Even proficient English speakers may find themselves unfamiliar with Australian English and with Australian business conventions. Companies may choose to support these employees with individual or small group tuition in language and business culture as they adjust to an English-speaking work environment.
Our trainees are:
- junior employees who need to develop confidence in English while they learn the language of their workplace
- middle managers or long-time employees who wish to increase the sophistication of their language skills by better understanding idiomatic spoken English, tone in writing, or using informal language in workplace relationships
- m anagers, executives and senior level professionals whose career path or professional credibility is limited by very specific language needs and require intensive training in one skill area
Small group or individual training?
Our program is tailored delivered to individuals, or for small groups of employees from one business with common learning objectives.
For small group instruction, all employees are assessed at once; and a customized study program is designed for the group as a whole, with the learning objectives identified by the sponsoring business. The individuals may be of varying skill levels but the learning objectives will be the same.
Individual tuition is uniquely tailored to meet language needs. The assessment is conducted privately and the program is delivered on a one-on-one basis. This suits trainees who require confidentiality, who have very specific needs, or who are the only employee in the company requiring training.
