All applications for candidates that reside in Melbourne must be made in person to RMIT English Worldwide. Every candidate must apply in person; no applications made on behalf of other candidates will be accepted.

To apply for the test, please download and complete both of these forms:


IELTS Australia requires all candidates to attach the following to their application:

  • » TWO PASSPORT SIZED PHOTOGRAPHS
    • These photos must be recent - no more than 6 months old, no glasses, neutral expression, plain background
    • Please read the IELTS Guidelines for further details – Guidelines IELTS Candidate Photographs
  • » ONE PHOTOCOPY of their PASSPORT DETAILS
    • A photocopy of the page/s in your passport with your name, date of birth, country and passport expiry date
    • We are unable to provide a photocopy service, you must have this prepared before you come to our office
  • » You must also bring your CURRENT PASSPORT with you when you apply.
  • » TEST FEE is $330. Payment is required to confirm booking. RMIT English Worldwide accepts EFTPOS, credit card, money order or bank cheque made payable to 'RMIT Training'. NO CASH is accepted.

If you wish to sit an IELTS Test on a particular date, please ensure you lodge your application as soon as possible. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Test Day Photography

It is a new requirement of IELTS Australia and its Testing Partners that all candidates have their photograph taken and fingerprint scanned prior to test day. All candidates submitting applications will be required to have their photograph taken and fingerprint scanned. This information will be captured at the time of booking.

On the day of the test you must bring:

  • » Current passport
  • » Pens, pencils, eraser and sharpener

You must have your passport otherwise you will not be able to sit the test. No other identification will be accepted; no passport, no test.
