Luisa Abelardo
Luisa was originally a high school teacher before moving on to teaching English to adults. She has been in the English language field for over 15 years and has taught in a variety of settings and across different levels. She spent two years teaching in a language school in Japan and more recently returned from teaching in a women’s college in the UAE. She entered teacher training in 2006. Her qualifications include Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Education and a Masters in TESOL. She enjoys travelling, tennis and reading.
Lynda Beagle
Lynda has been involved in the English language field for over 25 years as a teacher, teacher trainer, CELTA assessor, Director of Studies and IELTS examiner. She has worked in England, Spain, Australia, Vietnam, China and Costa Rica. She has a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts (Applied Linguistics) and Graduate Certificate in Flexible Delivery. Her academic interests are phonology and sociolinguistics. She enjoys making clothes and blogs about this. She is also interested in Spanish language and travelling.

Ross Currie
Ross is a New Zealander based in Melbourne, with a career extending over more than 30 years. He has been an EFL teacher, a high school teacher, a director of studies, a curriculum developer, a teacher educator and a department manager. He has worked in New Zealand, Australia, China, Vietnam, England, Japan, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. He has recently returned from Dubai where he worked as head of a college teacher education department offering Bachelor of Education programmes in early childhood education and teaching English in schools.

Robyn Dawkins
Robyn has been an English language teacher for more than 15 years and has worked in many countries overseas, teaching General English, English for Academic Purposes and English for Specific Purposes. She has also taught in a number of different primary, secondary and tertiary institutions in Australia. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Education, Graduate Certificate in Adult Literacy and Basic Education, and a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics. She loves travelling and bushwalking.

Denise Flipo
Denise has been working at REW since her return to Australia from the UAE, where she spent 6 years coordinating, designing and teaching English for Academic Purposes programs to tertiary students at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. She is also an IELTS examiner, which has taken her to Iran, Oman and Bahrain. She previously taught Japanese in Melbourne and English in Tokushima, Japan. She has a primary teaching diploma, a BA with majors in Japanese and linguistics, an M.Ed in TESOL and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. Her interests include reading and travelling.

Stephanie Grayston
Stephanie’s first experience as an English teacher was as a voluntary tutor to Vietnamese boat people when she was a student. After working in other fields, she returned to ESL and has had over 12 years teaching experience in Melbourne, Perth and overseas. She has a BA, an M.Phil, a Graduate Diploma in TESOL, and, of course, a CELTA. She has worked at REW since 2006: as a teacher, including stints in China and Oman; and as a 'business developer', marketing programs for overseas teachers to universities and governments in China, Thailand and Vietnam. She currently works on academic projects in REW’s Curriculum Unit in addition to being a CELTA trainer. Stephanie has two adult children, likes gardening and loves the theatre and her two book clubs.

Meggan James
Meggan moved to Melbourne in 2007 after working in the UK for a number of years. She has over 15 years experience as an ESL teacher and has worked as a teacher trainer in recent years. Her qualifications include the CELTA, a diploma in TESOL and an MA in Education. She is a keen traveller who hates flying.

Lisa Jenkins
Lisa has more than 10 years teaching experience in Melbourne and Japan, teaching both English and Japanese. She has taught a range of classes from Beginner to Advanced levels in schools, language centres and companies. She has a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), a Postgraduate Diploma of Education (TESOL) and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training. She enjoys reading, crosswords, bushwalking and Latin dancing.

David Threadgold
David moved to Australia from the UK in 2006. He chose Melbourne over other locations in Australia due to recommendations from friends about its advantages as a city to live in. The fact it is the sporting capital of Australia also helps. His travel and teaching have taken him to places such as Japan, Saudi Arabia, China and Scotland. His qualifications include CELTA, an M.Ed in TESOL and more recently a certificate in using technology in the classroom.

Becca Wilkins
Becca has been working in EFL for 30 years in Spain, Britain, Australia and Dubai. She has been teacher training for CELTA and other programs since 1988. She enjoys teaching English for Specific Purposes, (over the last 20 years, mainly in English for Academic Purposes), has been an examiner for IELTS and the Cambridge University exams FCE and CPE, and has written items for the Occupational English Test (for medical professionals). She is currently completing her Masters in Education. Outside teaching, she is a qualified homoeopathic physician and journey practitioner and gets most of her exercising her 2 cute cavoodles. She has 2 children.
